A custom VW Bug is a vehicle that no longer resembles the original Bug. As you might know, the VW Bug is highly customizable. You can adjust everything to your own style. Today it is very difficult to find two identical Beetles. This is certainly no disadvantage because each car tells its own story. A custom VW Bug exists in different styles: The slammed VW Bug, the Cal Look Bug, the Hot Rod, the Rat Rod, the Super Bugger, the Baja Bug and the Rat Look.
Custom VW Bug parts
To create a custom Bug, you’ll need custom air cooled VW parts. You can find these parts in many different places: the junkyard, your local VW shop or in online web stores such as Paruzzi, VW Heritage and Jbugs. As mentioned before, everything is customizable: the interior (seats, door panels, steering wheel,…), the wheels, the bumpers,…
Custom VW Bug interior
The interior of your bug is very important. If you are handy, you can create the interior yourself. If not, you can buy custom VW Bug interior. This includes door panels and seat upholstery. These custom VW Beetle interior sets aren’t cheap but are your best chance to stand out. You can not just adjust the door panels and seat upholstery, you can also change the steering wheel, the window pendulum, the dashboard and so much more.
Custom VW Bug wheels
Wheels are often real attention grabbers. There are many different rims and hubcaps for sale on the market. If you are creative, you could create your own unique pair of custom VW Bug wheels, as you can see in the picture below.
Custom VW Bug bumpers
In many cases, the bumper will determine the style of your Beetle. There are many custom VW Bug bumpers available: the Europa bumper, the blade bumper, and the blade bumper – US version. Some Beetles do not even have a bumper, we define them as the Cal Look Bugs.
